Fig. 5. Role of intracellular Ca2+ release in the HU-mediated NO production in B16 melanoma cells. The data represent quantitative changes in [NO] which are expressed as a fold increase compared to negative control. In these experiments BAPTA/AM (1 μM), an intracellular Ca2+ chelator, and 2-APB (100 μM) and Dant (50 μM), blockers of intracellular Ca2+ release, respectively, were used. These drugs were added 30 min before HU (20 μM) treatment. *P<0.05 compared to negative control. #P<0.05 compared to HU alone. Each column represents the mean value of four replications with bars indicating SEM.
